It may be due to being 51, or being of a conservative nature…but huge makeovers, just aren’t part of the landscape for most people.  I’m a believer in adjusting and adapting to cause movement toward your goal.

The consistency in which you progress is what makes the lasting difference.  What would happen if you consistently did these three leadership skills set:

1.   Get curious... ask the questions, get the sense of the temperature of your team – get them engaged – and to do that – be curious and ask;   what is missing, what else do we need to do, what should we stop doing?

2.   Start each project with describing the end result…it may be a measurement, a feeling, or a look.   If I’m creating a kickoff or event – I ask what would you like the employees to feel?    What would you love to have them to say on their way home?  What would you like them to learn/grow or know the focus of?

3.  Know what gets you in trouble, and find out ‘what your net is for those areas’.
