“I can’t….”

“That’s not me…”

“Not happening…”

Moving forward isn’t easy…adjusting is harder when you’re rigid.

Sometimes we set up our own barriers.  We make it harder than it needs to be by avoiding, adjusting, or giving up.   Does this sound familiar?

…”I’m not good at giving presentations.   I really hate it, and I really lose my confidence when I have to speak in front of more people…”

Easily understood – even the best presenters may get a case of the nerves – but finding out what you need to adjust to be better may require you a bit of trial and error and a pot full of courage and openness.   Just when you think you can’t feel more vulnerable…it may require you to let go and approach presenting in a different way.

The barrier really is the letting go…and reframing from ‘fear’ to a new path with a better outcome.

1.        Know what you’re afraid of….what is the worst thing that happens in that situation?

2.       Find someone to trust…and take note of what they are suggesting – and practice it

3.       Don’t view as a total make over but rather an adjustment...make sure you visualize the outcome you’re striving for.

Reframe your barrier…and stop using the barrier as an excuse.
