As child you may of heard "walk away from the bully" and that may have been true as a child.  As an adult does that serve you well?   Today with a bully in the workplace or in the board room what happens when everyone avoids the bully?

1. Be committed, take actions that have you be an ‘over achiever’. It may be very rewarding in tough economic times.
2. Think beyond your own needs – this is a time when it not just about the individual but the bigger picture.
3. Deliver with consistent results.

This summer I heard a priest at a wedding talking about the new couple taking their love to the third level. His examples were regarding the choices we make in relationships. The first level may find a new couple enjoying each other without much effort, while going to the second level requires each other to give more than expected, and the third level may be demonstrated by anticipating, caring more, meeting their needs, not yours.

Sometimes it is the easy reminder; holidays, seasonal change, dates established by Hallmark so we just don’t forget to acknowledge someone.

For an Elegant Leader it may be part of their DNA, or they may have adjusted their leadership habits to ensure they express gratefulness. So what are grateful actions?
