While working out of a home office, my internet went down for a few hours…how easy it is to get frustrated, and thrown off your rhythm. My business partner sensed my frustration over the phone and I could hear him smiling, his words were – ‘don’t let it get you frustrated’. So true, instead of choosing to be frustrated I reframed what a gift of being ‘unconnected’ could be and starting writing – and found a new rhythm, with a positive outcome. Reframing the situation is a skill that can benefit your mind and desired end result. It is adjusting quickly and efficiently without any drama of emotion. The next time you find yourself going down the slope of frustration…stop and adjust. Find a new path. |
